Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern your access to and use of EgoLead (the Platform, we, us, our). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. What EgoLead is — and is not
EgoLead is an information service that aggregates and compares publicly available listings and channel information relating to egocentric, UMI, and robot datasets and related hardware. We are an information aggregator only. We are not a party to, broker of, agent for, escrow for, or guarantor of any transaction between users, buyers, sellers, or collection channels. We do not own, host, sell, transfer, or take custody of any dataset, and we do not verify the identity, legality, quality, ownership, provenance, or accuracy of any listing, channel, price, or data described on the Platform.
2. No warranty
The Platform and all content are provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement. Listings, prices, specifications, and channel details are indicative, are supplied by third parties, and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You use the Platform and rely on any information entirely at your own risk.
3. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for independently verifying any counterparty, listing, sample, price, and the legality of any data or transaction before acting. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including data-protection, privacy, intellectual-property, publicity, biometric, and export-control laws. You must obtain and maintain all rights, licenses, permissions, and consents required for any data you collect, offer, buy, share, or use through or in connection with the Platform.
4. Egocentric data and the privacy of recorded individuals
Egocentric, first-person, and video datasets may capture identifiable persons, faces, voices, locations, and private settings. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any such data was collected lawfully and is shared with all consents and legal bases required in every relevant jurisdiction, including the informed consent of individuals recorded. EgoLead disclaims all responsibility for any data that infringes the privacy, publicity, biometric, or other rights of any person.
5. User content and submissions
The Platform lets you post anonymous community content and submit channel, listing, and hardware information (User Content). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant EgoLead a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute it for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Platform. You represent and warrant that you hold all rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate any law or any third-party right. You are solely responsible for your User Content.
6. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to: post or submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, harassing, or misleading; upload or offer personal data or datasets you do not have the right to share; scrape, harvest, or use automated means to access or copy the Platform; interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Platform; attempt to breach security, circumvent access controls, or access data not intended for you; or post spam, fraudulent, or manipulated listings. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
7. Moderation and removal
We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, review, edit, remove, or refuse any content, listing, or account, and suspend or terminate access, for any reason, including a suspected violation of these Terms or of applicable law. We have no obligation to monitor content, but we may do so.
8. Third-party listings, channels, and links
Listings, channels, contact details, and links are provided by third parties or point to third-party resources. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for them, or for any dealings, communications, or transactions between you and any third party. Any such dealings are solely between you and that third party.
9. Intellectual property
The Platform, its software, design, trademarks, and original content (excluding User Content) are owned by EgoLead or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Platform without our prior written consent.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EgoLead and its operators, affiliates, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Platform, any transaction or communication with another user, or any data or listing obtained through the Platform, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (if any) or USD 100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless EgoLead and its operators, affiliates, and contributors from and against any claims, demands, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your User Content, your transactions or dealings with others, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
12. Changes, termination, and governing law
We may modify these Terms or the Platform at any time; changes take effect when posted, and your continued use constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or discontinue the Platform, in whole or in part, at any time. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of EgoLead is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its competent courts. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
